At present, there are 24 Crocodilian species on the planet. On 17th June every year, World Crocodile Day is celebrated as a global awareness campaign to draw special attention to the plight of endangered crocodiles and alligators across the World.
India is home for 3 crocodilian species Mugger, Salt water and Gharial. AAZP houses all the above three species.
